Slide Blind
The handle design provides increased easy of operation and installation, and can also be used as a lifting point for a crane, specifically useful for safe installation on larger format blinding applications.
The HOT Tools Slide Blind can be custom manufactured to customer specifications, including stainless steel. All manufacturing information is printed on the handle of the slide blind.

Slide Blind Multi
The Slide Blind Multi is another innovative product developed by HOT Tools. Based around the design of the original Slide Blind, which replaces traditional line blind variants such as the spectacle and slip blind and reduces operation time by up to 50%, the Slide Blind Multi is particularly convenient for larger format applications. Flange surfaces are manufactured out of 516 70n boiler plate, or stainless steel while the connective material is manufactured out of cheaper and lighter materials which can reduce the blind weight for increased ease of installation. The multi piece design allows the blind to be manufactured in smaller components, allowing assembly to be done on site with more cost efficiency as well as increased ease of handling and transportation. The dual lifting eyes are designed with smooth edges to accommodate lifting straps and avoid fraying or cutting. The Slide Blind Multi can be custom manufactured to the producers specifications and desired materials.

Safety Rod Clamp
The HOT Tools' Safety Rod Clamp is a new and improved alternative to typical 6-bolt rod clamps. Innovative technology of internal opposing helical dies provides superior lifting capacity and rotational torque, as well as greater ease of installation. The Safety Rod Clamp's cylindrical design also provides an invaluable improvement in operator safety with no sharp edges. When used on rotating drive pump applications, potentially lethal snag hazards - common with the square design of a 6-bolt rod clamp - are virtually illuminated with the HOT Tools' Safety Rod Clamp. The Safety Rod Clamp comes in all standard sizes for both reciprocating and rotating pump applications.

Rod Clamp Lifter
The Safety Rod Clamp Rod Clamp Lifter uses HOT Tools' Rod Clamp technology and internal opposing helical dies in order to produce a much more efficient and cost effective method for mounting and lifting the continuous rod on a rotational drive wellhead application by eliminating the need for a polish rod. The circular design also provides added safety as well as improved harmonics during high speed rotations.

MLT Ring Benefits
MLT Rings are an innovative, patented technology, designed and developed by Volant Products Inc., and available for the complete range of API tubing and casing sizes. MLT Rings are custom selected for each application by measuring the depth of an area at the coupling center called the J-Section. A hydraulic ram is then used to push the ring into the connection. Once MLT Rings have been installed, tubing connections can be torqued to significantly higher values without the risk of damaging pipe threads and connection integrity due to over penetration. For example, with MLT Rings installed, torques of up to 3,500 ft-lbs are possible in 3.5-inch EUE tubing applications. Higher make-up torque can prevent Connection Backoffs and reduce the need for Down-Hole Hardware such as No-Turn tools and Anchors. The MLT Ring also provides a smooth, continuous inner diameter along the length of the production tubing: this reduces friction; increases productivity; eliminates washout which can damage exposed collar threads within the J-Section; allows for more effective use of tool running and servicing with coil tubing; eliminates build up in the coupling during cement squeezes; reduces annular turbulence; reduces the risk of thread galling by preventing sand migration into threads; reduces rod wear caused by build-up or bridging of sand in the coupling center section; and increases connection life.

Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI)
Electromagnetic Inspection for defect detection in oil well tubing is another one of the innovative services that HOT Tools provides to the Lloydminster, Alberta and Mid-West region, in association with Newtech NDT Inspection Services. EMI is a lightweight and non-contact method of on-site tubing inspection that does not rely on the use of potentially harmful radiation or x-rays. With accurate defect detection for Inner Diameter and Outer Diameter Pitting, Rod Wear, Corrosion, Vertical Splits, and Thru-Hole Flaws in well tubing, measurable up to 200ft per minute, EMI is both a much more effective and time efficient method of defect detection.
